It’s never too early to learn the short game. Many new players focus most of their effort on the full swing, hitting bucket after bucket of balls on the range, only to realize that they are not getting much better. Learning how to pitch, chip, putt, get out of bunkers, and accurately hit partial-swing distance wedges from within 100 yards will both dramatically improve your score and your enjoyment of the game.
